I just spent three days at the first ever T-Tapp Beauty Bootcamp. This Beauty Bootcamp was for the women (and one fantastic guy) who won the 30 day challenge Teresa held in January. There were so many incredible success stories she couldn't pick just one winner in each category held. She had "runners up" and "runners up to the runners up."
I wasn't there because I won an event. I was there because Teresa had injured her knee and didn't want to risk doing permanent damage to it by over doing it. So I came to help her teach. What an honor. By the way...not to worry. Teresa is doing great. She has been able to turn her "injury" into an opportunity to learn more about how to assist people with painful knees. Many "ah ha moments"!
I never cease to be amazed at the power of T-Tapp to change lives. The first night of Beauty Bootcamp, the women got up on stage to share their stories. The laughter cheered the room and the tears flowed freely. How could all this emotion get stirred up from a simple 30 day T-Tapp challenge?
I could go on and on about muscle activation and lymphatic pumping. Goodness knows I've waxed poetic about the power of T-Tapp for years. Instead what struck me was more about the power of women. These women were from all walks of life. From big cities to tiny country towns. From mothers of many children to single women with no children. The diversity of their situations as distinct as their fingerprints.
Yet regardless of their individual circumstances, they all had a desire to bring health and happiness into their lives. They were all seeking a sense of balance and consistency with something in their lives meaningful to them.
So they entered this contest and made a commitment to themselves they were going to do what it took to do their T-Tapp workout as consistently as they could for 30 days. There were women that lost over 20 inches in just 30 days! But the more impressive results were the health benefits they received. Pain relieved, female issues resolved, depression lifted, blood pressure reduced significantly, blood sugar issues resolved...
As women, we run everything in our world. We are so busy having and raising our children, working, being a wife, being a daughter, a sister, a member of our church and community. We are BUSY! Most of us don't take any time for ourselves. We give to everyone else until our glass is empty.
T-Tapping for 15 minutes a day was a way for these women to do something for themselves.
This Beauty Bootcamp was a way for these women to take time out of their busy lives to celebrate their success and themselves. To be celebrated, pampered and loved!
It occured to me many times throughout this magical weekend how infrequently we celebrate our successes. We do incredible things and shrug them off as "just what we do!" Yet when something doesn't go our way, we have no problem beating ourselves up.
I made the decision this weekend I am going to take every opportunity to celebrate successes large and tiny! Here's to being a women who Tapps!!!
Renee,
What a lovely tribute to Beauty Boot Camp; you summed it up perfectly! It was such a joy to meet you and workout with you. I appreciate the special attention, focus and correction you gave me during the weekend. I measured my waist Monday morning and it was 1.5 inches smaller than when I left for Safety Harbor on Thursday, and this morning (Tuesday) it is 2 inches smaller than Thursday, so I lost an additional 1/2 inch off my waist just resting!!! I, too, am always amazed by T-Tapp; not only the physical results but the emotional, mental and spiritual treasures that flow from it as well.
I've returned home with even greater appreciation and motivation for T-Tapp...What an amazing, rejuvenating weekend!
Love,
Susan (aka "Susie" :) )
